FAQ
Commonly asked questions about Hangover IV's
What is IV therapy, and how does it work?
IV therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, and hydration directly into your bloodstream through and intravenous (IV) line. This bypasses the digestive system, allowing for faster and more effective absorption of nutrients, helping your body feel rejuvenated and restored almost immediately.
Is IV therapy safe for hangovers?
Yes – our treatments are administered by licensed medical professionals (RNs) using sterile, hospital-grade equipment and fluids. IV therapy is a routine procedure; we screen your health history beforehand to ensure safety. It’s very safe for most people and can be more effective than oral rehydration.
How long does an IV therapy session take?
Most IV therapy sessions take about 30-45 minutes to administer. From the time the nurse arrives until you're done, expect roughly an hour. Most clients start feeling better before the drip is even finished, as hydration kicks in quickly.
How fast can I get an appointment
Usually within an hour of booking. We operate a fleet of mobile nurses across NYC, so in many cases someone can be at your location in 60-90 minutes or even sooner. If you live in Manhattan, you can expect us to beat the 60 minute mark pretty easily. Otherwise, depending on the location the nurse needs to travel from, it can take a little longer. We strive to accommodate ASAP request early mornings, afternoon, and late nights alike.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Not really – just be at your location and stay hydrated if you can while you wait. Our nurse will bring all necessary supplies. You’ll just need a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
How will I feel after receiving IV therapy?
Most people will usually feel great and energized immediately after receiving the IV. Some people may fall asleep because they can finally feel relief from the pain, while others are able to resume their day like they never went drinking the night before.
